    Family Violence Treatment Program

    Zona Seca has provided a Family Violence Treatment Program for over 20 years. We have the experience and capacity to provide this service in both Spanish and English. We also have an in-depth understanding of the cultural values that impact violence in the family. Additionally, we provide comprehensive substance abuse counseling and can enhance classes with therapy, if indicated.

    Violence is defined as . . .

    Violence is defined as the expression of hostility and rage through physical force directed against personal property. Violence is aggression in its most extreme and unacceptable form. Domestic violence, according to section 1000.6 of the Penal Code, is defined as intentionally or recklessly causing or attempting to cause bodily injury to a family or household member or placing a family or household member in a reasonable apprehension of imminent serious bodily injury to himself or herself or another.

    The program consist of 52 weekly sessions of two hours each.

    1. An Initial Interview
    2. A minimum of 5 individual sessions (This allows each client to address his or her own personal needs and issues.)
    3. 47 sessions two hours weekly support groups
    4. An exit interview

    Clients have the opportunity to develop a support system with others where they can give and receive feedback.

    The program takes a full year to complete and costs $ 1,560.00

    Addionally, a one time enrollment fee of $ 75.00 will be charged. The cost of the program can be paid in monthly payments. In order to complete the program, all fees must be paid.
